Ingredient Highlights and Ingredient List

FFORMULA HIGHLIGHTS

Lactic Acid — Naturally found in the body, lactic acid is a mild alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) used for exfoliating, brightening, hydrating, and antimicrobial properties. It permeates the skin quickly to improve cell turnover, fibroblast proliferation, elastin quality, GAG concentrations, and collagen synthesis. As a result, signs of aging and pigmentation are revised.

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride — Contains natural skin-replenishing fatty acids derived from palm or coconut oil. This ingredient is non-greasy, antioxidant, occlusive, and helps smooth the skin.

Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil (Sunflower) — Sunflower seed oil has many beneficial wound healing and skin-nourishing properties. It is a lightweight oil rich in fatty acids, plant sterols, vitamin E, minerals, and squalene. These concentrations are anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, photoprotective, and restorative for elastin and the skin barrier.

Oleyl Lactate — An ester that is a combination of oleyl alcohol and lactic acid. It is emollient, skin conditioning, lubricating, and emulsifying. Oleyl lactate is a mild keratolytic that softens and smooths.

Allantoin — Naturally found in the body, allantoin is mildly keratolytic (breaks down keratin) and encourages desquamation and cell regeneration. Allantoin locks moisture into the extracellular matrix, accelerates healing, and reduces hypersensitivity, making it ideal for distressed skin. It is found in plants like chamomile and treats dry skin, burns, acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and allergies. It also absorbs the UV spectrum, protecting cell DNA.

Squalene — A lubricating skin lipid that is naturally found in the body and comprises up to 13% of sebum. Squalene is hydrating, emollient, and antioxidant.
